Default Good Customer Service

I bought a new water pump from my local dealer, Maxim Honda in Allen, Tx, and installed right before the Mena ride. The first day everything was fine. I started her up the next morning for that good ole Rincon warm up. After a couple of minutes I heard a strange noise down by the water pump area. Shut it off, restarted and the noise went away. We rode for awhile and I checked the clear vent line and noticed a few drips of green sitting on top of brown in the line. Pulled the vent line off and discovered the brown was oil. Got back to the cabin and there was little more oil in the line but no antifreeze.

I called the dealer right before they closed and asked them about their policy on exchanging parts. The counter guy said that they do not normally warranty parts that were not installed by them and said the new parts manager might be able to help me out but he was gone for the day. I called him the next morning and explained the situation. He was sorry that I was having problems, especially on my trip, and to bring the pump back in when I returned to town. During the day, he contacted the area rep and and advised him of the situation. The rep said as long as it didn't look abused, send it to them and they would check it out.

Got a call yesterday and my new pump will be in tomorrow or Tuesday. I have to thank Bryan (parts manager) for actually doing something and making things right unlike my Toyota dealer. That is a whole different story. Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and I think they did a good job.

The Toyota guys still haven't made good on that problem?!

Glad to hear the water pump problem is resolved.

Glad they took care of you! A little coolant seeping through is normal. The oil is another thing. Sounds like you have a good dealer down there.
