Default New Hampshire Emergency

The government of New Hampshire is trying to do a cash grab on ATVers & snowmobilers. They are going to try to put our Grant-In-Aid (GIA) money in the general fund. We have already lost federal Recreational Trails Grants and without GIA money there will be very limited funds (club money only) for trail maintenance and equipment purchase. This money came from our registration dollars and is only supposed to be spent on the group it came from. I urge everyone to send an e-mail and as many as possible to make the meeting below. This could end motorized travel off road in New Hampshire.

FINANCE on 1/26/2012 1:00 PM at LOB 210-211

Building behind the Statehouse; second floor.
Sign in on the sheet, and mark your position.
Second sign in sheet/cards for those that wish to speak. Make it short and don't be repetitive.

House of Representatives

Notice an 'E*mail Committee Members' in the box to the upper right side.

Be nice.
Put your name and municipality/State at the end.

not a big loss as N.H. has very few riding areas left plus not many care about N.H. anymore i could careless if all the trail's were closed.
everyone is riding in Maine with over 7000 miles of legal trail's plus for a out of state registration its cheaper than a N.H. out of state reg. and N.H. only has 350 miles of trail's with swarms of fish cops just itching to give out tickets

And what are you going to do when Maine follows suit? It is very narrow minded to allow this to happen anywhere without speaking up.

Maine will never follow suit, Maine is committed to atv trail's with money and laws that promote new trail's.
where N.H. is stopped all funding and pass laws that make it impossible to build trail's

In the past 8 years maine has added 5000 miles of new trail's
where N.H. has closed 70 percent of trail's
you can ride from s. Maine to Canada on a atv
in N.H. you can ride 30 feet to the end of your driveway legally

Pay no attention to this idiot. His name is Dave Morejohn And he has been thrown off at least twenty forums for being stupid. Once he gets kicked off he goes on craigslist and runs his typing hand some more. A friendless, internet superman and nothing more.

Sorry-ATV'ers are screwed in NH for the most part(Live free or Die huh?). Anyway, ATVing here in Maine is currently very strong thanks only to the fact that Maine is looking at it as a revenue for cash by bringing people in. Add the fact that ATV clubs care and maintain most of the trails now. This may change someday soon and I see cases like NH happening all around the country. I remember that around 7,500 acres was purchased as a multi-use trail just west of me near Berlin NH. It was quite prommissing because we were told they would link that trail with the trails here in Maine. So far only 750 acres have been opened up to ATVers and it looks like advocates are trying to take that away. Anyway-We need more rednecks in New England!

ATV New Hampshire

It is our belief that ATVs are fundamentally incompatible with the environment and in conflict with the concept of the multi-use intention of public lands.
  • ATVs cause significant soil erosion and damage to wildlife habitats.
  • ATVs produce excessive noise which negatively impacts the environment.
  • ATVs are dangerous.
  • ATV use on public property puts others using those lands at risk.
When a group wishes to use public property and their actions are detrimental to that property and to the safety of others using that property, we have a right to limit that
