Hello ,just joined the forum and now have some questions. As a former Honda foreman owner, just sold it yesterday after 11 years of trouble free service,I am now looking to upgrade to a more modernized and comfortable Atv.I like the Rincon but from what I have read the bike has not changed much since its introduction.Does anybody have any ideas on if or when Honda might refresh the Rincon with some more features such as power steering, more horsepower?Possibly 2013?
Thanks. |

The problem with Honda is they let there lawyers control Honda more than Honda does. They are gun shy cause of all the lawsuits that came out of the three wheeler days. They will one day come out with a vtwin motor and a sport side by side. My brother works at a Honda dealership and this is how I know all this. But don't get me wrong I love my 2011 rincon and all I have ever owned is Hondas.

I just bought my rincon and the dealer was telling me that Honda won't even be offering the gps on the next model because they want to keep the price down. My opinion is, give a rincon steroids (twin), power steering, more aggressive tires... If people will spend $13000 on a can am, people will get a Honda for a similar price. I like Honda for the reliability aspect but was close to getting a 650 outlander for the power. I am happy with my decision and I think all bikes have their pro's and con's...

At some point the Runcin sales will drop to the point they will have to drop the model or make a real big bore atv. It is sad when you go riding with a group and a 500cc Can-am vtwin out performs a Rincon. Why can't Honda give the Rincon power steering and a 70 hp vtwin? That alone would pull a bunch of buyers back to Honda that will probably only buy other brands because they want more power.

Rincon is a great machine. Reliability is by far better than most of the others. Power gets old fast so upgrades are a must eventually. Ive ridden a can-am renegade and the power is outstanding!!, but I would NEVER buy one. The handling was the worst iv rode. Power is great with anything but the power isn't worth **** if it don't handle worth a ****. Just my two cents worth. Oh , i also think we'll see something from honda in 3 to 5 years. Rincon been here way to long for Honda not to do soothing. Just a hunch.

If you can wait till summer to see if the 2013 Rincon will come out then I would wait. If you can't wait then get a Can-Am! New can ams are just as dependable as Honda but it has a belt like all the rest. The Rincon sales have to be low enough by now for Honda to either drop it or build a real competitor for what is selling at the top end of ATVs and that is 800 plus cc atv's. If Honda doesn't want to compete in that market then they need to drop the Rincon and offer the Rubicon with IRS.
