That horrible smell of hot antifreeze

That's correct, during my last plowing I smelled the smell.... I use an engine degreaser when I wash down parts needing fixin as it leaves a greaseless dry part. So After the engine was washed and started, there it was, a big leak at the base of the head. Looks like the Rincon is going to get a refreshing after 13 years.... sorry bout the rotated pics... RR needs to fix it...

Well I know you can fix it. Are you going to do just the top end or tear the whole thing down?

Ha Ultra... how many years have I been saying no friggen way... HP and this engine are at odd ends... lots of guys spent lots of money for 1 or 2 HP, this thing does just fine as Mr Honda designed it.
HD, I am tearing her down completely, refresh it all. Been a long time since I was in there... O Rings in 05 if memory serves. Nothing but a couple little hiccups like the oil temp sensor wire, 2 x valve adjust, the rest was just maintaining her with the rolling part replacements.

The part list is rather long...

Right now it sits dripping the last of it's fluids onto the concrete floor of my garage.... it's snowin outside, typical inside temps hover around 46 so when the sun can add say 15 or so more degrees, I'll have at er.... no rush as I mainly use it now for snow plowin... If I want to go riding I hop in the "other buggy" Update: Nice day yesterday so I pushed her out, after doing the steering service, and some new grease in all the joints up front... Engine cleaner on all the frame parts. Thinking of using a truck bed liner for all the lower frame etc. (stuff ya can't see) that last photo sorry... my "other" buggy was sittin waitin for me to then go fast as the Rincon looks on

The sun was out on the weekend! Got lots on the chassis done, lots of parts ordered, timing and oil chains and guides, (CD I know your tech on this but....) I also ordered a new tensioner, head gasket and other odds n sods... have not cracked it open yet as I want all the parts in front of me b4 I start. And look what 13 years of never cleaning behind the oil cooler reveals... Other wise all the fins were in great shape (no pressure washer ever in this area)
