I havent touched my rincon in a few months, work has been busy but now that i have a chance to play with it i need help... a few months back i adjusted the valves, changed the jetting, drilled my exhaust and snorkeled the rincon all at once... after i was done that she would not fire... its getting gas, it has a weak white spark and i have the a/f screw screwed out to 3 1/2 turns just to get it running before so that i can tune it. Update. I poured a bit of gas down the cylinder to try to get it to fire and it would not, while examining the cylinder i noticed that the gas was getting pushed out the exhaust thus meaning it has gas and is getting gas but the lack of spark must be the problem... should i order a new coil or what is your guys advice?

Check the spark plug cap and wire well. Its easy to mess them up pulling them off the plug.

Coils rarely fail.

I just installed the new cap last week, my old one broke in half and actually the old one if i do recall it would arc where the insulation was ripped off to the cylinder head

Well then thats inportant. Look at the coil connection, make wure its good. Look at any wires going to/from the coil.

Did you use an OEM cap?

K will do, yep I tried a few aftermarket ones but no one makes one that fits properly so i had to fork out 50 bucks at honda for one, I also installed a dyna tach which uses the signal from the coil to work, could that cause the problem.... im not giving the whole story either i guess

I was at a rally and the rincon died on me, wasnt in a mud pit or anything i figured it was from my a/f was out so it fouled my plug when i got home i tore down the carb cleaned it and re greased all connections, at that point i re-snorkled it, drilled the exhaust and replaced the air filter with a uni also changed the jet, thank you corndog look forward to hearing back from you and any others who can help

In your first post you mentioned "adjusted valves" and would not start. I assume it ran ok before that? When you crank it does it seem to have compression or does it just spin freely? Sounds like you need to recheck the valve clearances.

It feels like there is compression, yep it ran before i did all the work to it. I disconnected the tach and hooked the wire back up to factory and there was no change, checked all the wires around the coil, none of them are damaged and they are all plugged in, I will go check my valves here again in a bit to make sure they are where they are supposed to be
