Default fcr mx carb

Gonna do this mod. Done a lot of research on here and pm mudchucker but no response yet. He said he ordered a 39mm kit that came with boots. Wondering where he ordered t from, and if anyone knows what model specific he used. I got a carb from a buddy of mine. Will it mount right up or do i need different boots to make work. Thanks.

You will need a different boot as the carb you are trying to put on is bigger than the one you are taking off. The new carb will not fit into the stock smaller boot.

Thanks Harley Dog. Do you have anymore info on this? What boot i need? I have read on here Mud Chucker has done this but not sure if he is on here anymore. He will not respond to my messages. Info i have found doesn't give much detail. Know I can do it, any info i find will help speed up the process. Thanks.

I would recommend you look at the 41mm carb (500 cc and up) here is a link, I am sure they can hook you up. Your kit, 016-749 mounts to the stock intake and airbox.

Thanks oil an. I already have the carb and the kit he has the carb only no boots. My carb is off crf450r. The front boot on the rincon will work. The air box side on the rincon is bigger and there is a gap. FCr is shorter front to back than stock carb. The guy told me I would have to make it work by fabing something from radiator hose and pipe to make it work. Use to do that to some modded 250r,s way back when. So il see how it goes and see what I come up with.

Here,s what I've come up with. I have two carbs. FCr off 06 crf 450 and carb off 05 trx 450. The install of the crf carb is way off compared to the trx carb. The trx carb will mount right up with stock boots. The crf carb is a flat slide and the trx carb is still a round slide but not a vacuum carb so I believe the gains will still be significant. Both carbs have a different style tps. However I have found a thread on here where a guy made the tps off the trx carb work by fabbing a different bracket and the little dog that the rincon tps will slide on to. This is where I'm at so far. Taking a little break from project,FYI have two young boys. I'll keep updates coming when I get back onto this.
