Smile Well hunting season is about over.

The hunting season in Nevada is over. I had a good time, 1 small mule deer, a load of ducks, a couple dozen of Canada geese and more quail than I can remember. So now I am starting to get ready for the trout opener at the end of April. I have to put new water pumps in 2 outboards and string new line on 8 fishing reels. I have to restock my tackle box with hooks, sinkers, leader and lures. I will be at the opener in the June Lake Loop, CA for 2 weeks. I have been fishing there since the mid 60's as a child. The first time my dad took us up there, me and my brothers were given a block of Velveeta Cheese and cheap rods and reels. We always caught trout. I have gone a little more high tech than that now and the fishing is still great. The best part of going there is little has changed in the past 48 years since my first time as a kid. I hope all of you had a great hunting season and if you are like me looking forward to a great fishing season. Good luck to all.

Good deal. I'ld be careful though, that seagull appears to be eyeing either your fish or your behind.

That's not me in the picture, it is a buddy of mine. It was the biggest fish we caught on that outting. It was a 15lb Brown Trout. Three of us caught 11 straight Brown Trout that were between 10 and 15 pounds in two days.

No, I never have. There are not many around were I live. I have started seeing lots of Coyotes around I think I am going to have a go at them. I need to buy a caller though.

I am a member of the Varmint hunters association and get their magazine.

We are getting more coyotes near our cabin in the central cascades, and I am keeping an eye out so I can shoot them. As the wild turkey population grows so should theirs.

I go ground squirrel shooting in may/June. I "casually" shoot about 350+ a day. I have shot from my Rincon in the past but will probably rig my RZR this year with a rifle rest. It is a mostly a small caliber sport as costs as well as barrel heat go up fast with big guns.

Their habitat includes sw saskachewan, Montana , Oregon, ne Nevada.

I'll look for some photos and start a thread as the season gets near. If you like shooting, and ATV riding it is something you probably want to try.
