Hello all, new to the forum and to rincons but not new to Honda ATVs. Recently bought an 09 rincon with 600 miles on it and in pretty good shape.
The rear suspension is pretty squeaky on it. I have spray lubricated every joint I can see trying to pinpoint where the noise is coming from and I still have the squeak. Seems like it is coming from the top shock mount. Is there any special tricks or tools needed if I want to remove the shock and grease the top pivot/mount?
Additionally the rear brake seems pretty weak regardless of if using the foot pedal or the lever. The lever adjustment feels correct to me and measures correct, but stopping power seams weak to me as compared to my other 3 Honda ATVs. It came from Kentucky and there was definitely a fair amount of red dirt/dust/mud caked all over it that I’ve slowly been getting cleaned off with a power washer elbow grease and some WD-40 so I’m not sure if there is still just some debris keeping them from operating correctly or if something else is up. I also notice the brake fluid doesn’t look as crisp and clean when looking at it through the sight glass as it does on my others, maybe the fluid needs replaced and a good bleed?
