Mileage, hours and ownership...

I am curious to see the amount of miles and hours on everybody's Rincon.

I have a 2003 with 6404 miles and 863 hours. To be 16 years old, its in great shape and runs well. I am the third owner of the atv. I bought it mainly for hunting a few years ago, but enjoy trail riding with friends. Looking at what a new one cost, I'll keep this one for a long time.

I just bought a 2011 , in June, around 650 - 660 miles and i think around 130 ish hours. I bought it from the original owner.
Elka shocks : stage 4's on the back, stage 3's on the front. ( if others have them... did you ever get them re-built/re-charged.? ) Full alum skid / bash plates, A arm protectors, Warn Winch, Fuel injector programmer, Big Horn tires, hand guards with mirrors, trailer hitch, aftermarket exhaust tip. I had a 2006 Foreman, sold that after i got the Rincon.

12,900 miles.....around 1,900 hours. Bought new in 2002. I have been using my rincon for hunting, trail riding, yard work, and riding around the neighborhood whilst consuming IPAs. Still in great shape. Riding my Tenere (no IPAs) more these days.

2003. The best year. Green. The best color. ATV Guru. The best bumpers.
BIGWHISE likes this.

2003 green Rinny (12,400 miles), "25" Bighorn Radials (white letters out) full of extra slime, water pump mod, no warning labels, E Trex, everything else like Mr. Honda made it. 2000 XR 400r (est 3,500 miles). RIDE RED EVEN IF ITS GOT GREEN PLASTIC!

2013 Yamaha Super Te'ne're' (27,400 miles in 22 months), 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (392,000 miles) on tight and original motor. 2001 4Runner (82,000 miles).

Gotta Agree with Corndog. 03, green, I unfortunately have gone thru 3 meters (We used to fly a lot) so my mileage/hour estimate is just that... meter 1 was 10500 KMS, meter 2 had just over 9000 and the current read is 10850, 808 hrs. I am guesstimating about 31000 Kilometers, and about 2500 hours. Guru rear bumper, and a greatly modified warn bumper on the front.

The only real distance I put on her now is plowing the 90 meter driveway.

I have a week off so, maintenance IS required.

Yesterday I replaced the left front axle, bearing, seals, 2 tierod ends, disk brake rotor and pads both sides. Replaced the oil, filter and plug. Had to do an alignment as well. I believe the plowing takes it's troll on the front end components. Each fall I put a set highlifter springs on the front to assist with the plow weight.

I bought a 2004 used last year. It is red. It now has 6500 +/- miles with right at 1290 hrs. I believe the original owner used it for mud riding so it idled a lot. I use it only at our hunting lease and usually put 50-100 miles on it a weekend driving back and forth from the lease to the camp.

I use the big Horns in the summer mostly, the The XTR's I use to plow snow. I add 2 sand bags in the trunk, and air pressure around 4 psi, Rincon hardly be workin...

As I always tell the wife when her eye is on a new ride... Payments.. Big ass payments for many years , as opposed to spend a couple grand on new parts and her ride is back to normal.... well as normal as a Land Rover can get

The repairs on my Rincon were $75 for the axle bearing and seals. The tie rods and ball joints are a wear item so I keep a couple around and (about $25 each), the rotor was similarly inexpensive $40.00. So for argument sake lets say all those parts were $350.00 What I would be giving up for such a small amount does not make sense (sending to craigs list) . I spent about 2-3 quality hours in my garage with a couple cold beers....I believe this is also part of the ownership of a good ATV. As you can see, she has had serious surgery, after 14 years I put new top end parts , runs like new again.
