2012 Honda Rincon Error Code 15

I have been fighting an error code 15 which keeps the rincon in 2nd gear when trying to go forward. This started as an intermittent problem when it would get cold in december and now that we have had cold for the last 2 months its been non stop. When I start the rincon the display shows that im in neutral and then when i put it in forward or reverse it still shows the gear I am in until I start to move. Then the display goes blank and starts flashing code 15. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try to diagnose the problem. I would prefer to not have to take it to the dealer if its a mechanical issue I can fix. Thanks!!!

This is an old maybe fix, but check both battery terminals. They loosen. I used Blue Thread locker last time, and when I finally changed my battery a few weeks ago, the neg terminal had loosened enough I could remove the bolt by hand!
I checked my manual, and a code 15 is not there. Last code is 14. Perhaps someone with a later SM (for the Fi units) can chime in and let us know what the 15 points to.

I'll look when I get home. Would a loose connector on the diff cause an error?

I unhooked the battery overnight to see if it would clear the code but did not have any luck so I know the battery cables are tight..On the code i have 1 long bar and then it flashes 5 times quickly.

It's on the back side of the front diff with a green connector. Sensor is under a cover. 15-1 and 15-2 error code in the 2007 manual says shift solenoid A short or open. Manual says that is the black connector and solenoid B is the brown one. Those are down at the front of the engine. Check for a loose connection first.

I'll try and post the manual test later for you. Might be tomorrow before I get to it.
