Post 680 Ricon timing replacement

Hello.

I got a 680 almost for free. Not much information about it. I think its a 2004 model. The previous owner could not figure out what was wrong with it. The workshop they delivered it to just said "its not firing".
When i got it home i quicky figured out that the chain had popped off the camgear. And i started to tear down.
Deeply invested into this project i now stand with the front cover almost off, but it seems stuck on something with a 5-6mm gap. Im considering just pulling the engine out at this point.
Piston, valves and cam looks fine.

I see that the converter needs to come off to accomplish this. And im guessing other parts as well.
Since im already in there messing around, i want to put it back together as bulletproof as it can get.

So, the question is.
Could anyone direct me to a reasonably prices page wich sells parts for these wonderous machines, and/or list me the parts i should replace while im already doing this?

In front, much appreciated.

2003-2005 are 650 carburetor, 2006 and on were 680 Fuel Injected. On the front right, on the tube behind the wheel is the serial number/model number. I pulled the motor out to replace piston/rebuild mine. With what I see in photo 3 you might want to do that also. Either YouTube the rebuild or grab a manual, you will refer to it often.

Hello Oilcan, And thank you for your answer.
It is fuel injected with one single injector on the throttle body.

Im considering pulling the engine, to be able to work better on why the front end cover isnt coming off. As far as i've read it should only be the last couple of wires and the two lower engine mounts, and it should be out.
I've gotten further than on picture nr 3. It was just a good angle on what im working on. Currently offshore a week more, So im spending the time researching as good as i can. If i could order parts as well so that they would be at my place when i get home. That would be even better.

Without actually being in there, parts ordering is just guessing. If you do remove the sub trans, then 0-rings are always good to replace with new. Grab a manual it will be your friend. On the bench you can easily work on it all. Leaves you space and access on your ATV to the clean up of the frame and all that rust!
