Question Cam Chain Guide Replacement Help

2005 6100 Miles oil pump chain came off, also replacing cam ( found the decompressor sloppy ) cam chain, tensioner and guide. I cant figure out how to remove the guide?

Do I need to remove the cylinder? Ouch!

Sorry I can't help you, I didn't replace mine when I had it apart.

If I do need to pull the cylinder, the manual states. "install the cylinder over the piston while compressing the piston rings with your fingers."
Is this accurate or would i need a ring compressor tool?

You had a oil pump chain issue also? or replaced the cam chain?

There is a lot of YouTube videos on the oil pump chain and the gear reduction I put in.

I just did this on my Rincon. Unbolt and slide cylinder up few inches and the guide will come out. Replace the new guide and slide cylinder back down. I did not take it all the way off.
