08 Rancher

Quick question for you guys that are up on the Ranchers. Did they make a standard shift 5 speed for the 2008's? Or are they all the ESP like the Rincon? I came across what seems like a pretty good deal on one, one owner, and he is an elderly man And is calling it a 5 speed manual shift. I was not aware they made those on the newer rigs. Thinking about taking a drive down to look at it this weekend but would rather buy one with the ESP as it would be for the wife. Trying to get as much info as I can before heading down. Thanks guys

I had looked at those a few years back for my wife and I think they made the ranchers in many different configurations, 5 speed manuals, I think most of those had the solid rear axle and then the esp's had the IRS. How much is he asking

Rubber side down and when in doubt THROTTLE it out!

Yeah - they had either foot shift or electric push button in both the 2wd and 4wd versions. IRS and auto trannies came later.

Jr. Mason. You can still get a Rancher in a manual (foot) shift.

Thanks guys, I did not go look at the machine. I would rather find an automatic for the wife.
Actually, I'm really hoping Honda steps up and releases a big bore 4x4 SOMETIME in my lifetime, and I could pass the Rincon on down to the wife. I've also really been looking at a Renegade, I took a short ride on one a while back and it has left a lasting impression on me to say the least.
