BRGR not just for bigger tires

I am setting up one of my Rincons for trail riding only , hills , rocks, ect. I have noticed when riding these types of trails my average TopSpeed never really goes above 30 to 35 mph. Keeping stock 25 inch size tires if I add a BRGR my TopSpeed will be somewhere around 50 to 52 mph. Losing 13 to 15 mph on top end should not bother me. I am thinking more of what I will gain. Better low-end, better engine braking. My question is has anybody installed BRGR with keeping 25 inch tires, if so are my thoughts in the right place.
