New 4 Wheeler

Just checking in as I do on occasion to see what's going on. Thought I post a couple pics of my atv, er car. She was my brother's who passed away last December and I brought her home this weekend. She is going to need a lot of love to be where she needs to be but my oldest son really wanted this car and wants to help rebuild her. I thought Rick could do it all for me in a month since he does nothing anymore but eat chips and surfs the net looking at tattooed penguins, but he said he is trying to acquire a shipment of hexagonal moly infused 1932 turbo Vespa engines for some secret project. Anyway, here she is if I did the pictures correctly.

Thanks Oilcan. I think I'm going to just get her to safe driving status now and in a couple years do the frame off redo.

Here ya go Ultra. He purchased the car in 1978 telling me it was originally a big block car but the original engine was gone. What he did was bore the 327 60 over and brought it home. I was the last one to drive it in summer of 1986. It's been parked ever since. The cylinders look pretty clean actually. Oil sitting on the top of the heads and antifreeze is still Prestone green. I was going to do a frame off in several years, but don't think I can wait. I have tried to buy that car from him seriously since 1993 and he would never sell. I hate that I got it this way as I would have liked for us to work on it together. My son and I, well more him, pulled out all the leaves, moldy carpet and other crap and did a light compound job to see some color. My oldest is really excited and the youngest doesn't care because it's not an electric car. All the rubber on this car is shot and the gas tank is rusty. It needs a lot of love. I will keep you updated as she progresses.

Sorry Ultra, I thought I put the date in. 1967 with 4 speed manual and Hurst shifter. And most importantly, JC Penny tires bought in 84. I found the receipt. Some of the younger guys here might not know that JC Penny had auto shops like sears.

Thanks for the info Oilcan.

Plans as of now, I think first will be to get it safe to drive. Then when I do the frame off, it will get fuel injection, vintage ac, maybe some new wheels and a stereo. I'm going to stay close to original and will keep all the original parts.
