I don't care for the Chatterbox setup due to poor quality and poor output.
My communications system of choice are MotoComm headsets installed in the helmets (they're weatherproof and include a push-to-talk), and then plug 'em into Midland G-300 radios, which are 3 watt models.
You can get the headsets from any dealer that can get stuff from the Parts Unlimited catalog (list is $59.99) and Amazon.com carries the radios.
hey karl chatter box is a rider to rider communication system that is for bikes ,atvs or any thing , just type in chatterbox ona search and one should come up,.,,hey i like the divorce deal to get rid of it!!!!
I use the chatterbox from time to time on my 4-wheeler. I bought it for use on my two wheeler though.
The unit works great. I don't care for the VOX feature. It does not work well with my Harley or my 4-wheeler. Too much noise!
With the PTT feature though, it works well. The folks over at the Chatterbox factory are nice to deal with and have a decent customer service attitude.
We rarely wear helmets on our 4-wheelers and we have our speakers and mikes permanently mounted in our MC helmets which is why we don't use them more. It's nice to be able to talk to others in the group.
I recommend the product. It works and it's of high enough quality for you to want to use it. Try it-you'll like it!
