By the looks of those shocks, installed up side down, the impossible has been achieved.
Nothing is impossible if you have the right hammer....

Oilcan go take a rear shock off your Rincon and try installing it upside down.

Pretty sure rincon rear shocks are "upside down" from the factory.

I'm looking at replacing my shocks too. So I'll be interested in what comes out here.

Correct, shocks are inverted or upside down. Meaning the spring is at the bottom.

Why would you take a brand new shock apart and remove part of it to "make it work" when the manufacturer should have all those issues worked out prior to sell. If they farked that simple positioning part up, I can imagine the attention to detail they spent on the inside....

I understand the factory shock looks inverted, but that sleeve, being "up side down" did exactly what was predicted, hence the shock is in the wrong way "theory".... Regardless, they are most likely for another machine and fit in reverse as we see here.

Thanks for the imput.
I sent a message to Bronco "WTF"
I agree it should be ready to go out of the box, but I bet the same part number fits something else.
More to follow....
As an aside I liked the way it rode with them and I gained aprox 2" clearence...

bfraser-

Also, let me know what part number you ordered and or received.

Thanks, and I hope they work out okay because they are a lot less expensive than any other shock out there!

The Bronco shocks are built just like the stock shocks. Even the stock shock has the sleeve with the opening at the top

There is nothing wrong, hence nothing to fix!
