I’m sure some of you guys have switched to Elka’s on your wheelers. My stocks are due to be replaced and I’m likely going with Elka’s.

I’m looking for feedback regarding stage 1, 2, or 3’s. I don’t want to break the bank if not required.

Thanks ahead of time.

I bought the Elka stage 3 shocks about five years ago. I have put about 4,000 miles on them. They make a huge difference at speeds over 25mph. I like riding fast and you really don't have to slow down anywhere near as much when the trail gets rough. They should really put good shocks like Elkas on the Rincon from the factory. I mostly ride trails in northern Wisconsin and the U.P. that vary from smooth gravel to abandoned logging roads where we sometimes cruise above 40 or 50mph for long periods of time. The Elkas just make the ride much smoother.

I’d like to see that improvement made straight from factory also. Especially since they sell the Rincon as an excellent trail handling machine. Which it does well with but could be better. Thanks for the insight!

Wirincon, and others who have Elka's..... Have you ever had them re-built , re-charged..???

They are a "re-build-able" shock, and just wondering how long they last till you have to have them re-built, seals, re-charged.

The Elka's and others shocks : Fox, KYB's , Walker evans.... that are used in snowmobiling, the Mfg's recommend re-building/getting the oil changed in them every season.
