Service Manual calls for a new sealing washer and o-ring on the oil drain bolt. The only o-ring was embedded in the bolt and didn't seem like it should be replaced. I could find no logic in replacing the metal sealing washing.
Replacement oil filter is a Fram CH6007 and the large o-ring that came with the filter was larger than the original Honda o-ring so I didn't replace it. Since I didn't pull the center bolt off the cover, I didn't replace the small o-ring.
The Manual shows the oil filler cap but neglects to state it's behind a small black cover to the right of the oil dip stick.
Went with Rotella 5w-40 and could tell the difference immediately.
I have about 80 kilometers on my '03.
Any opinions on frequency of o-ring replacement, at least on the oil filter?
