Has anyone made mods to the stock muffler? I want the extra air flo without
the noise. I have heard of replacing the 3/4 tip of the muffler with a 1 1/2 tip, any one know where i can get one. Thanks for any tips..

$65.00 is crazy. I made one for $4.00 in materials and about 30 mins. in my garage. But that's just my 2 cents.

I replaced it with a new one. I didn't use stainless steel, just regular galvanized.

THE ONLY THING THAT I HAVE DONE IS CUT THE SPARK ARRESTER OFF BUT DID NOT FEEL A DIFFERENCE

I did mine and it leaned it out midrange but I also have some carb. mods.

THERINCON - I bought a piece of flat steel 6" X 6" and cut a circle out of it and drilled a hole in the middle for the tail pipe to fit it. Then I just welded it together and drilled out the mounting holes. Hope this helps.

Hey guys,

Karl, who sometimes gets a chance to post here makes a really nice looking stainless steel 2" Rincon exhaust tip.

He sells them on E-bay. Just type in rincon in the search section and scroll through the stuff an you will find it.

I have one on my Rincon and really like it. It looks sharp, has made a marked difference in my stage 1 performance and sounds good but not near as loud as an aftermarket exhaust.

I heartily recommend this mod if you are looking for a low noise exhaust improvement. The only downside is that you have to eliminate the spark arrestor for this application. This may or may not be an issue for you.

It's to bad Karl's 2 inch mod does not use a spark arrestor. I think the other mod(1.5"?) can use the grizzley arrestor.
