Hey guys I sent this letter in to Moose about 2 weeks ago. I have not heard from them yet. Getting ready to step up the efforts. I figure I would post it here as my review of the product...

Hello,
My name is Mark XXXXXXXX and I recently bought your "EXECUTIVE REAR STORAGE
TRUNK". I have had it out a total of 3 times and I am very unhappy with
your product.
First: The trunk has been warped since the time of purchase. This causes
the center trunk not to sit correctly in it's designated position. I
purchased it at the same time I bought my Rincon so the center piece was not
on the unit when I decided to buy it (didn't notice how poorly it fit
together). Once I got home I noticed it was bad and hoped that once I got
it strapped into place it would be corrected. This was not the case. To
this day it still fits together poorly.
Second: The trunk does NOT keep what I put in it clean or dry! After the
first use I was extremely upset to see what I put in the trunk was
practically as dirty and as wet as the outside of the trunk. This was
extremely upsetting considering I purchased the trunk to keep important
items clean and dry. Mind you this was after casual trail riding.
Third: One of the straps broke the third time I had it out! This is what
finally prompted me to write you this letter.
I never rode with a passenger on the unit. As a matter of fact, I never had
anyone sit on it. Like I stated earlier I purchased this trunk to keep my
items clean, dry, and safe. I was also hoping to get some back support from
the trunks center unit but it doesn't fit properly. It does not meet any of
my needs due to it's poor construction. The fact that the strap broke under
such casual use make me think that the trunk might even be unsafe! Now I
paid almost $400 dollars for this item and feel like I was taken advantage
of. I honestly believe that Honda would never pick a company to provide
loyal customers accessories without meeting their high standards. I am
hoping this is a isolated incident and Moose Utilities is willing to make it
right. Please respond to this as soon as possible.

Good luck getting ahold of anybody at Moose. I had a small problem and wanted to buy a replacement part. I searched and found you could only contact them through their website, no phone numbers. I sent several messages and got no reply. Needless to say, they've dropped off my list for any future purchases.

I have the same box/seat and the same opinion of it. The center storage section never fit from day one and I had to strap it in. The side storage/arm rests don't keep any dust or water out and they rattle like hell. I had 3 of the 4 straps break and ended up bolting it down. I did however contact Moose by e-mail and requested new straps and mounting hardware and recieved a kit in the mail within 10 days. This was 2 weeks ago and I have had the unit for 3 years. I think I paid $289.00 back then. The pakage that the kit came in said it was from Moose Racing not Moose Utility and I beleve I took the e-mail address from the Moose Racing web site too.
Good Luck, Dave

Ok Folks this issues has been corrected as of today. Moose sent me a new center peice, new straps and suggested I use automotive modling to seal the box up. It took them a while to correct the issues but they did, so I am happy. Goes to prove if you have an issue with a product you bought make sure you speak up.
