I just purchased a new Rancher AT and noticed extremely stong hold back when going down a decline. When backing up it feels like the brakes are on.. Does this sound normal or does anyone else have one of these and experience this concern.

Thanks

The wife loves the hold back.. She was riding a Polaris 400 Sportsman previously and had the brakes on the whole time when going down a decline.. The Honda Rancher AT has excellent holdback..

Like the other guys said...Its just the way that AT works....I think its great for going down hills....Keeps you off the brakes....

You've either been living in a cave or your a Baja 500 driver....... Were you not paying attention during all the posts bitching about the LACK of low gearing on the Rinny's. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. As in ....."it's a GOOD thing".

Mine doesn't feel like the brakes are on. I haven't drove the Rincon in reverse yet (this is ambitioushillclimber's son,) so I don't know how much difference there is.
ps. does anyone else's brakes grab really bad even when just touching them?
