I just purchased a new Rincon and when I shift from neutral to drive or

from neutral to reverse I get a knocking noise. I was wondering if this

is normal? I was also wondering if you have to use your break when

shiftin to drive and revrse? It does not mention anything about this in

the manual.

My new 05' makes a slight clunk which I believe is to be normal. You should always apply the brake when shifting between drives just like you would do in a car.
Nice to see a fellow Newfie on here, I'm just around the corner from you in Paradise.

Where do you go riding?

But when I first start the bike it barley makes any noise. But after going for a good ride the shifting noise is much louder and it appears that it is idling higher which might be causing the problem.
