Transmission wont stay in drive

I have an 08' 680 rincon. Moving snow this winter it was slipping out of drive. Warmed up and it would still kick out. Disconnected shift linkage... forced into drive with channel locks, still kick out. Oils good. Prior to issue it would grind sometimes putting into gear. Shift cable was swapped and adjusted about a year prior. Is there anything I can try before rebuilding transmission?

Welcome to the site..

What youre experiencing is sometimes fixed by adjusting the shift linkage cable. If youre sure its adjusted properly, than its most likely a problem inside the trans, like damage to the shift dogs, or a bent shift fork..
