I'm hoping someone can help with knowledge on these Rincons. Like several threads I've read my rincon is at high idle. I've read alot on fuel injected models but not alot on the carberated models. I took my IACV sensor off and cleaned it and oiled it but it's still goes to high idle as soon as I touch the throttle. If I just pop my throttle real fast it idles back down. How do I get it right?

Thank you for the knowledge. It does have drum brakes on the front along with a carberator. Would you have any idea of what is causing the high idle issue? Along with roughness when switching gears on the column shifter.

Column shift your referring to, if you mean the drive neutral reverse lever the yes they can grind when shifting. If so it just means you have worn dog teeth. The upgraded replacement gear is supposed to fix but most just ride as is. Correct idle helps as does properly adjusted cable.
Rincons do have a high idle. Up around 1400rpm or so.

So you have a carburetor you said.. Its not a 2006 and its not a 680, its a 650 and it doesn't have an IACV. The carb models have an idle adjusting knob on the carburetor.

I would get yourself a service manual and figure out what year your machine is.

There is a panel on the right side just below the seat. Remove the seat and it will just snap off. Behind it you will see a black knob. Turn it to adjust the idle speed. You should use a tach off some sort to get the idle speed correct. I keep mine at about 1350. Also the panel on the left side around the gas tank and below the seat comes off and you will find the shift cable adjustment there. However like Ultratec says you should really get a Service Manual for more detailed instructions.
